The police confiscated about P122,000 worth of illegal drugs on January 3 and 4 in Negros Occidental, leading to the apprehension of four drug suspects.
PCol. Joseph Thomas Martir, Bacolod City Police Office chief, reported yesterday the apprehension of a drug suspect he identified as Rodolfo Vego Jr., alias Boy Masoy, during a buy bust operation at Purok Magti-ayon in Brgy. 10, Bacolod City.
Martir said the arrest of Vego by Police Station Drug Enforcement Team under the supervision of PCapt. Jonito Pastrana yielded more or less 15 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P102,000 and P500 in marked money
Police also accounted for three more drug suspects in separate buy bust operations on Jan. 3 in cities of Bago and Victorias, Negros Occidental, yielding about P20,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The buy bust operation of the police on Jan. 3 at Purok Batad in Brgy. Sampinit, Bago City, led to the arrest of two drug suspects identified as Eulene Arellano, 39, of Brgy. 27, Bacolod City, and Ressel Lacson, 42, of Brgy. Poblacion, Bago City.
The apprehension of Arellano, alias Eulene Chan, and Lacson, alias Dodoy, yielded two grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600 and its paraphernalia, P500 in marked money and P100 in cash.
Policemen also nabbed another drug suspect identified as Raymar Teodoro in another buy bust operation at Villa Victorias in Brgy. 20, Victorias City.
The police recovered one gram of suspected shabu with a market value of P6,800 and its paraphernalia, P55 in cash and P500 in marked money.
The four arrested drug suspects are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.*
