Drug suspects yield P54K in shabu, gun

The arrest of five drug suspects in separate anti-drug operations on August 16 in Negros Occidental yielded an estimated P54,000 worth of illegal drugs and a gun with ammunition.

Greg Juntarciego, 46, and Jehu Arella, 29, both jobless, were apprehended by the police during a buy bust operation at Purok 12 in Brgy Aguisan, Himamaylan City.

The Himamaylan City police seized an estimated 4.5 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P30,600, marked money of P500, an improvised tooter and a .38 caliber revolver with two live ammunition.

The arrest of Teddy Fermaran Ronquillo, 37, and Kendrick Inocencio Ronquillo, 29, in a joint operation of the local police and troopers of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 in Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, also led to the confiscation of an estimated three grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P20,400, marked money of P100, assorted drugs paraphernalia and P20 in cash.

A tricycle driver identified by the police as Allan Gamboa was also apprehended by the police for a similar violation at Hda. Palma in Brgy. Andulauan, Ilog, which yielded 0.5 grams of suspected shabu, marked money of P500 and P12 in cash.

The Ilog police also took custody of the tricycle driven by Gamboa.*
