The surprise drug testing on 56 police commissioned officers of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office on June 14 yielded negative results, disclosed yesterday by its spokesperson, PCapt. Judesses Catalogo.
Catalogo disclosed that the drug testing was conducted during the visit of PBrig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, acting regional police director of Western Visayas, at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.
The PCOs, who were subjected to drug testing, composed of NOCPPO staff led by PCol. Leo Pamittan, chiefs of police, and heads of various police support units stationed at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr.
In his speech, Villaflor said the drug testing among PNP members form part of the 5 Focused Agenda of PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr., specifically the Integrity Enhancement among police officers.*
