In an operation reflecting its steadfast resolve to combat illegalities, the Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) executed a search warrant for violation of RA9165 in Barangay Malabuhan, Siaton, Negros Oriental yesterday, leading to the arrest of a suspect and the recovery of suspected shabu and a loose firearm in plain view.
The operation led by Siation Municipal Police Station, ended in the arrest of alias Rob, 59, who was arrested in his residence.
During the execution of the warrant, personnel recovered suspected shabu weighing 20 grams with an estimated street value of P136,800, and in plain view, a caliber .38 revolver along with two rounds of live ammunition.
Police said that they had received multiple reports from concerned citizens regarding the suspect’s alleged involvement in illegal drug activities within the community.
The arrested individual is now under the custody of Siaton MPS for appropriate legal disposition.
