The Department of Social Welfare and Development distributed P815,000 worth of cash assistance to 184 beneficiaries in the different towns and cities of 3rd district of Negros Occidental on Aug. 3 and 4, as organized and facilitated by Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Benitez and their respective local government units.
Of the 184 recipients of medical and burial assistance, 54 are residents of Talisay City, 43 from Victorias City. 41 are Murcia residents, 35 from Silay City and 11 from E.B. Magalona.
The distribution was undertaken by following the mandated health protocols in separate venues on Aug. 3 in Silay City and on Aug. 4 in EB Magalona,, Victorias City, and Talisay City.
Mayor Gerry Rojas assisted the distribution in Murcia, while Councilor Derek Palanca did the same in Victorias City.*
