The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 6 conducted their 12th set pre-validation for potential beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) on January 23 at Barangays Palampas and Punao covered courts in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
At least 320 were targeted as potential beneficiaries during the pre-validation, where 200 potential 4P’s beneficiaries were listed in Brgy. Palampas and 120 in Brgy. Punao.
Jessa Lee Acasio, project development officer of DSWD’s 4Ps, said that they are conducting the activity to continue helping low-income earners.
Acasio stressed that documents needed to avail the program are marriage contract, barangay certification for live-in partners, must have a 0-18-year-old in their household with birth certificate, and in-school with certificate of enrolment and health certificate for 0-5 years old.
Mae Unabia Ardientes, 27-year-old resident of Sitio Malabago Brgy. Palampas, said that she applied for the 4Ps program to pay for her child’s school as her husband is unemployed.
Local government unit links, roving bookkeepers, social welfare assistants and parent leaders assisted the activity, which continued the next day in Brgy. Codcod.*
