Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Western Visayas were featured in a virtual trade fair that kicked off on Thursday.

The Panubli-on Heritage Fair of the Department of Trade and Industry Region 6 was featured at the PLDT Ka-Asenso Virtual Trade Fair that will run until September 28.

Rebecca Rascon, DTI Region 6 director, said the online trade fair is to bring the region’s pride closer to the people as they experience shopping while supporting local ingenuity.

“This is to promote the products of Western Visayas. This trade fair is a collaborative area to feature the region’s best products,” she added.

This collaboration also inspired them to continue serving the MSMEs so they will be competitive in the virtual market, she said.

She said it will also give the exhibitors the needed market exposure. “We have a wide array of food products and amazing designs of non-food products,” she added.

She stressed that the trade fair showcases the craftsmanship and resiliency of the MSMEs in the region.

Rascon urged the public to visit the virtual market and buy products as this is also one way of helping the MSMEs rise above the impact of the coronavirus disease.
