Four hinterland and coastal barangays in E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental, received multi-purpose vehicles from the municipal government under the leadership of Mayor Matthew Louis Malacon.
Malacon and members of the Sangguniang Bayan led by Vice Mayor Marvin Malacon yesterday led the distribution of vehicles to its recipients, including hinterland barangays of Consing, San Isidro and Canlusong, as well as coastal barangay of Pasil, all in E.B. Magalona.
The multi-purpose vehicles are expected to boost the mobility of barangay officials in the delivery of basic services to their constituents, according to the local chief executive.
Solar-powered lights were also recently installed along the main road leading to barangay Pasil in E.B. Magalona.
Mayor Matt Malacon said another multi-purpose vehicle will soon be turned over to another barangay in the town.
Barangay officials of Consing, San Isidro, Canlusong and Pasil thanked the municipal officials for providing their respective barangays with vehicles.*
