The EB Magalona Police Station was again adjudged the top performing municipal police station for the month of July, with a rating of 95.22, based on the province-wide Unit Performance Rating (UPeR) conducted  by the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

This is the 8th consecutive month that the E. B. Magalona Police Station received the top award from NOCPPO. It earlier received the same recognition for the months of December (92.90), January (92.69), February (93.68), March (96.04), (April 95.62), May (95.68), and June (95.22).

PMaj. Kenneth Jay Gratones, town police chief, received the two certificates of appreciation for the E. B. Magalona Police Station for the months of June and July 2023, during the NOCPPO flag-raising and awarding ceremonies at the Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Barangay Estefania Bacolod City, on Sept. 4.

The efforts of the EB Magalona police to make the town peaceful were also recognized by the administration of Mayor Marvin Malacon yesterday, by giving them a new set of prescribed SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) uniforms.

It includes eight bulletproof helmets and eight bulletproof vests.

This is part of LGU’s efforts to boost police visibility and mobility, especially for SWAT personnel, to effectively respond to calls for assistance and public service in the municipality Malacon said, in a statement issued by its Public Information Office.

Gratones thanked the administration of Malacon for their unwavering support to the town police.

In previous months, the EB Magalona police got two additional motorcycles from the municipal government.*
