An e-bike driver lost his life in Purok Maabi-abihon, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, after being stabbed by a fellow driver following a confrontation that reportedly started over a teasing incident, on Monday at around 9:30 p.m.
The victim was identified as 44-year-old Ronilo Ibañez, resident of the same area, while the suspect was identified only as alias ‘Bagsik,’ 61, a resident of Purok Riverside, Zone 3, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City.
Initial police investigation indicated that the victim initiated the confrontation by teasing or playing a prank on the suspect, which led to an altercation. The suspect then stabbed the victim.
The suspect fled the scene immediately after the stabbing but was immediately tracked down and arrested by authorities.
Alias Bagsik is set to face charges of homicide in connection with the incident.*
