A group exhibit showcasing 130 small artworks of Negrense visual artists in celebration of International Earth Month is ongoing at the Artfull Art Gallery at 18-Lacson streets, Bacolod City until April 30.
Titled “eARTh”, the show which opened early this month features the works of 54 visual artists from Negros Occidental who are members of the Silay United Group of Artists (SUGA), Artists Guild in Sarabia (AGIS), E.B. Magalona, DASON artists from Kabankalan, and the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros (AAB-N).
Also joining the exhibit is six-year-old Princess Arya Valladares, daughter of Ian Valladares of SUGA.
Guest of honor at the opening was Dave Albao, executive director of the Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation, which manages the Danjugan Island in Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Danjugan Island is a 43-hectare island under the care of the PRRCF which aims to promote awareness in biodiversity protection by thru ecotourism.*
