A total of 677 E. B. Magalona beneficiaries of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) received their PPEs (personal protective equipment) during an orientation at the Public Plaza on September 16, which was also the start of their 10-day work.

PESO (Public Employment Service Office) manager Jessilyn Plaza said the beneficiaries shall conduct cleanup drives in their respective barangays for four hours a day for 10 days, with a rate of P450 per day or P4,500 for 10 days.

This batch’s TUPAD fund was facilitated by 3rd District Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez.

Plaza said the beneficiaries start their work on Sept. 16 wearing their DOLE TUPAD PPEs, comprised of long sleeves shirt, buri hat, and face masks.

Assisting in the distribution of PPEs were Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, Consultants Ramie Babac, Eduardo Poniado, Andronico Dequina, Mario Bolivar, and Willie Gervacio, and Private Secretary Joel Antonio.*
