A total of 195 college students of EB Magalona in Negros Occidental received P300,000 educational assistance through the effort of Mayor Marvin Malacon and Senator Joel Villanueva.
Malacon, assisted by his son, Mathew, who is the president of Barangay Kagawad Association of Saravia (BAKAS), led the distribution of educational assistance on August 19 at the EB Magalona public plaza covered court, witnessed by other local government officials.
It was followed by the assembly of all kagawads and chairpersons of 23 barangays in EB Magalona and Abang Lingkod Rep. Stephen Joseph Paduano.
The municipal government of EB Magalona is also providing cash incentives to honor students in the elementary secondary levels.*
