The Area III Athletic Meet gold medalists from E. B. Magalona, who represented the Third District in the recently concluded Palarong Panlalawigan 2023, thanked Mayor Marvin Malacon and Kagawad Matthew Louis Malacon, president of Barangay Kagawads Association of Saravia (BAKAS), for sponsoring their sports supplies and equipment, as they competed in the Provincial Meet held from March 29 to April 2.
DepEd District of E. B. Magalona Cluster 1 head Supervisor Angeles Verdeprado said “The provision of various sports supplies and equipment boosted the morale of our athletes, and even inspired and motivated them to strive more at the Provincial Meet. Our gratitude to Mayor Marvin Malacon and Kagawad Matthew Malacon for the overwhelming support to E. B. Magalona athletes.”
The sports supplies and equipment, used by the young Saraviahanon athletes in various sports events, included:
Athletics – spike shoes, throwing shoes, regular shoes, cycling shorts, discus, and javelin; taekwondo – sensing socks, arm guard, shin guard, and gloves; billiards – cue stick, tisa for tako, and cue ball; and boxing – boxing shoes, pad mitts.
The athletes earlier won gold medals at the Area III Athletic Meet 2023 hosted by Talisay City last March 17 to 19, earning them the ticket to represent Area III to the Provincial Meet 2023.*
