Young artists from Dolfing’s Farm, Barangay Concepcion, Talisay, Negros Occidental opened their first group exhibition this Christmas season at the Artillery Philippines – Bacolod at 226 Makiling Street, Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City Friday.
Titled “OFFLINE”, the show features the Christmas themed artworks of eleven children, the oldest aged 11-years-old and the youngest aged 5-years-old, who were mentored by artist Vicky Gasper.
Farm manager Hannah Ibanes Terrenal was also present at the opening to support the children.
“OFFLINE” is a celebration of unplugged creativity – where kids ditch their gadgets, grab a brush, and allow imagination to be their language. Through these young artists’ pieces, one may rediscover the joy of the offline world, where play is real, and innocence paints loud, the artist’s statement said.
Guests of honor at the opening were Negrense visual artists Ramon De los Santos, Chrysee Samillano, and Maymay Camarines.*
