Policemen seized on Wednesday explosives and a firearm during a raid in Sitio Bungyod, Brgy. Camang-camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The implementation of search warrant issued by La Carlota Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Cyclamen Jison Fernandez also led to the arrest of Jerome Paurillo, a 35-year-old laborer and resident of the place.
Recovered during the raid were two rifle grenades, a fragmentation grenade, a caliber .45 pistol with a magazine containing seven live ammunition, and an empty shell.
The suspect was turned over by the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company to the Isabela Police Station, who assisted them in the implementation of the search warrant, for detention.
On the other hand, four unidentified suspects robbed Romulo Prudente at gunpoint inside the Tambayan Café and Car Wash in Brgy. Bunga, Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental, police said.
The four suspects who pretended to be customers took P13,000 in cash from the establishment, and P20,000 more from its customers.
They immediately fled on board two motorcycles, according to the police.*
