F2F class suspensions extended in EB Magalona

Face-to-face (F2F) classes in all levels, both in public and private schools, in the Municipality of E. B. Magalona are still suspended today, due to continued inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm “Kristine,” a press release from EB Magalona PIO said.

DepEd further advised the continuation of the modular modality of learning.

Work in government offices shall continue.

Based on a weather advisory of PAGASA issued at 2 p.m. yesterday, Tropical Storm “Kristine” maintains its strength over the sea East of Aurora. The northern part of Negros Occidental, which includes E. B. Magalona, is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 (strong winds).

The public is strongly advised to brace from flooding and rain-induced landslides that are likely to occur especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in hazard maps and in areas with significant antecedent rainfall.

Moreover, the public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property.

Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to storm surges, floods, and landslides are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from MDRRMO and local officials.*
