A 41-year-old farmer was found dead on Saturday morning, May 9, after disappearing while diving in a river in Barangay Busay, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The victim, identified by the alias ‘Joemar,’ was a resident of Purok Mabinuligon, of the same area.
According to the Bago City Police Station, the victim was last seen Friday afternoon under the influence of alcohol, before heading to the river.
When he failed to return home, his father and sibling conducted a search the following morning, and discovered his body submerged in the water.
Although his family attempted to rush him to a local hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.*
