• RICHARD T. CABALLERO JR.

The Romeo Nanta Command – New People’s Army, South Central Negros Guerrilla Front has claimed that they were behind the shooting incident that occurred at Sitio Dinacupan, Barangay Lag-it, in the town of Tayasan, Negros Oriental.

The incident resulted in the death of alias “Tata,” a 40-year-old farmer.

Initial investigation revealed that the victim was shot by an unknown caliber of firearm by four unidentified men. Tata suffered various gunshot wounds across his body, which caused his death.

Following the incident, the NPA claimed the death of alias Tata was due to their allegation that the victim was an intelligence asset of the 94th Infantry Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

According to the investigation of the Tasayan Municipal Police Station, the suspects fled in an unknown direction after the incident.
