Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer is now the acting governor of Negros Occidental.
His designation was made by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, who is on leave effective November 30 until December 3 for travel to Indonesia.
Lacson, who will go on another leave from December 8 to 11 this year, for personal reasons, designated Ferrer as the acting governor and Board Member Manuel Frederick Ko as the acting vice governor.
This is to ensure the continuous and effective delivery of basic and social services, Lacson said in his executive order dated Nov. 28.*
