
As part of the ongoing Brigada Eskwela 2026 of the Department of Education, personnel of the Bacolod City Fire Station – Alijis Fire Sub-Station actively participated in volunteer efforts at Emilia J. Garcia Elementary School in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City on June 3, a press release from BFP said.
Under the leadership of FSupt. Jenny Mae Masip, City Fire Marshal, and SFO1 Joseph Earl Solivio, Chief Fire Engine Company of Alijis Fire Sub-Station, firefighters were seen working atop the school’s rooftop, conducting cleaning, maintenance, and preparation activities to help ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for students in preparation for the opening of classes.
The activity highlights the Bureau of Fire Protection’s continued commitment to community service and its strong support for the Department of Education’s annual Brigada Eskwela program. Through the collective efforts of firefighters, teachers, parents, and community volunteers, the school community is strengthened through the spirit of volunteerism and bayanihan.
