The Municipality of Calatrava in Negros Occidental, held its first-ever Duyog Daygon Chorale Competition on December 14.
Seven Parish choirs coming from the Municipalities of Calatrava, Don Salvador Benedicto, Toboso, and San Carlos City joined the competition.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish of Barangay Minapasuk, Calatrava was declared this year’s grand champion in Duyog Daygon Chorale competition.
St. Anthony de Padua Parish of the Municipality of Toboso was first place, while Saints Peter and Paul the Apostle Parish of Calatrava was second place.
Consolation prizes were awarded to Sto. Niño Parish of Barangay Bagonbon in San Carlos City; Our Mother of Perpetual Help Mission Station of Barangay Ani-e, Calatrava; San Isidro Labrador the Farmer Parish of Barangay Castellano, Calatrava; and St. Mary of the Lake Mission Station of Barangay Bago, Magasin, Don Salvador Benedicto.*
