A laborer and a fisherman reported by the police to have died in separate shooting and hacking incidents in Toboso and Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, respectively.
An unidentified gunman shot and killed a 56-year-old laborer, known only as Edwin, at Sitio Burgos in Brgy. Gen. Luna, Toboso, on October 20.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at the Toboso Rural Health Unit, according to the police.
Meanwhile, a victim of a hacking incident Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, was also declared dead on arrival at the Valladolid District Hospital on Saturday, according to the police.
The victim, a fisherman, whose identity has been withheld by the police, had succumbed to multiple hack wounds when his body was found at Purok Von Ryan in Brgy. Zone 6, Pulupandan.
The assailants of the two victims have yet to be identified by the police as of press time.*
