Cebu Pacific announced the cancellation of flights from Manila to Bacolod today and on Thursday, and that of Cebu-Bacolod on April 6.
This was after the national Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases approved Resolution 108 that grants the request of Western Visayas officials to temporarily suspend inbound passenger travel from the National Capital Region, the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Cebu, and Davao City, until April 10.
Hours before a copy of Resolution 108 was officially released, the provincial government of Negros Occidental requested the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines to allow the entry of inbound flights from Manila and Cebu, that were put on hold at the airports of origin. With the issuance of NIATF Resolution 108, the CAAP said it can no longer allow those flights.*
