Bacolod Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and Ligaya Lizares led the opening of the group art exhibit titled “Flores de Mayo” at the second level of SM City-Bacolod that will run from May 2 to 31.
Lizares’ late husband Edgardo “Budot” Lizares was the founder of the Art Association of Bacolod while Familiaran’s father, the late Rev. Beneldez Familiaran, was also one of the founding members of the club.
More than 60 visual artists of AAB-Negros participated in the exhibit, led by its president Tey Sevilleno. Also joining the show are AAB-N past presidents Rodney Martinez, Dolly Gatuslao and Sony Golez.
Also present at the opening were Trude and Pinky Lizares, Christine Puentevella, Louie Gatuslao and SM Bacolod marketing manager Nep Grandea.*
