A group art exhibition that explores the blend of culinary and visual arts opened at Lord Byron’s Backribs Grille along Magsaysay Avenue (behind Teleperformance), Bacolod City, on Friday which will run until the end of September.
Titled “Artistic Bites”, the show presents a variety of artworks inspired by savory and imaginative food themes expressed by 11 Negrense visual artists, who are members of Artistic Crew, through different media.
The exhibiting artists are Julius Añasca, Kyn Lance Gador Gelvero, Matthew Erick Macayan, Rona Diola, Ronan Delos Santos, Sheila Escalona, Sherryann Quivis, Sherwynn Cadianza, Waraichi, Wen Quilisado, and Venus Montejo.
Guests of honor were University of St. La Salle College of Arts and Science professor, and USLS Liceo Arts and Design instructor Rommel Cadigal; Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation Inc. trustee, biologist and artist Kaila Ledesma Trebol;
Art Association of Bacolod-Negros vice president Chrysee Samillano, and Orange Project Gallery co-founder, and one of the founding members of Black Artist of Asia Charlie Co, who was represented by Candy Nagrampa.*
