Three former Bacolod City fire marshals have been promoted to the rank of one-star general.

Firefighters of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Bacolod led by Fire Marshal Chief Insp. Rodel Legaspi, took pride at the well-deserved promotion of the three former fire marshals of Bacolod City.

They are Chief Supt. Jerry Candido, Chief Supt. Rodolfo Denaga and Chief Supt. Fred Trajeras Jr., regional directors of BFP 6, 8 and Caraga, respectively.

DILG Secretary Eduardo Año administered the donning of rank and oath-taking of the newly promoted BFP regional directors at the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)-NAPOLCOM Center, in Quezon City, Metro Manila, last March 25.

Their appointment to the rank of Chief Superintendent together with 15 other BFP senior officers was signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte effective March 8.

Meanwhile, the BFP is investigating a fire incident that started from an exhaust fan of HLS Aqua Product at Hiccor Compound, Araneta Street, Bacolod City at about 1:30 p.m. yesterday.

The BFP estimated the damage caused by the fire at about P3,000.*
