Former Vice President Leni Robredo, who is campaigning for independent senatorial candidates Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Bam Aquino, is arriving on March 19 for a campaign sortie in Negros Occidental,
The arrival of Robredo for a political rally at the Paglaum Sports Stadium in Bacolod City was confirmed by former Negros Occidental Governor Rafael Coscolluela.
Robredo will have a courtesy call on Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, who supported her presidential bid in the 2022 elections, prior to the 6 p.m. campaign rally in Bacolod City.
Lacson yesterday confirmed that he was invited to join the political activity.
Asked if he will support Pangilinan and Aquino, who are former senators, Lacson replied in jest “can we wait until Wednesday?”
Robredo also endorsed the Mamamayang Liberal (ML) party list group, which has former Senator and Justice Secretary Leila de Lima as its first nominee.
De Lima is a staunch critic of former President Rodrigo Duterte and his bloody drug war.*
