Retired women telephone operators at the launching of Friends of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in Bacolod City Friday*

A group of retired women telephone operators, headed by Sandy Solinap gathered in Bacolod City Friday in thanksgiving for the peaceful 2022 election and for the victory of President-elect Bongbong Marcos.

The event was also the launching of a movement called Friends of FLLAM (First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos), who is a Negrense, to show support and to work in her behalf thru culture and the arts, to promote and to extend help through civic works and public service, specially to retired women professionals and senior citizens.

Solinap said this is also in answer to the call of President BBM to work hand in hand for unity and progress.

“Ask not what your country can do for you- but ask what you can do for your country,” she said citing the historic words of the late US President John F. Kennedy.

This is a challenge for us Filipinos, especially the Negrenses, to contribute in some ways for the public good, she added.*
