The Bacolod City government has greenlit fuel subsidy payouts for 3,409 tricycle drivers, following an extensive appeals process for those previously left off the list.
Department of Social Services and Development head Dr. Richelle Verdeprado-Mangga confirmed that the distribution of the much-needed funds commenced yesterday at SM City Bacolod and continues today at Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
She said that these were TODA drivers, who were among those who appealed for being excluded in the initial list of payout.
Mangga added a special payout for all remaining unclaimed subsidies scheduled for next week to ensure every eligible driver receives their fuel support.*
