Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners showed up and showed out on May 10, as Carlos Hilado Memorial State University began its 4th University Foundation Week with “All Roads Lead to CHMSU,” a press release from CHMSU said.
The fun run was held simultaneously early in the morning in Talisay City and Binalbagan, participated in by CHMSUans and friends from the Alijis, Binalbagan, Fortune Towne, and Talisay Campuses.
The All Roads Lead to CHMSU in Talisay Campus drew more than a thousand runners who competed in the women’s and men’s categories of 10K, 5K, and 3K runs.
The fun run was organized by the Federation of Alumni Association of CHMSC (FAAC) Inc., CHMSU Fortune Towne Alumni Association, Alumni Relations Office, Sports Affairs Office, and Stride Events.
It was made possible through the support of Talisay City Mayor Rowena Lopez-Lizares, Vice Mayor Angel Gabriel Villacin, Margie’s Filipino Pastries, Michelle’s, Hagud Aromatic Oils, Nature’s Spring, Pure Cee, Kusina ni Mayor Weng, VCSC Sports Physiotherapy, LS Dolocab, AB Designs & Construction, Shoe Crew, and Mom Rose, who provided the meals, services, and prizes for the top finishers.
Meanwhile, the race in south Negros Occidental began at the Binalbagan Municipal Plaza, and the runners of all ages sprinted to the CHMSU Binalbagan Campus.
“All Roads Lead to CHMSU” is just the first of several events and pocket activities to be held across all four campuses.
