An esports company in the Philippines reopened its branch along La Salle Avenue, Bacolod City on November 21, with some innovations to provide students not only gaming and leisurely experiences, but a place for study sessions as well.
TNC Cyber Cafe La Salle is equipped with the latest high-end technology on computer and gaming facilities. It offers VIP and standard game rooms, and a meeting room, aside from a study hub for students.
Eric Redulfin, TNC president and CEO, said they reopened their branch in Bacolod after the pandemic with a new concept, by innovating their gaming business to include a study hub.
“Our tagline is – ‘Where learning is fun’ – because the students can relax or play after studying in order to reset or refresh their minds,” he said.
Redulfin, founder of the TNC Group of Companies, said students can avail of free coffee and wifi at the study hub for only P60.
They have about 100 high end computers in their La Salle branch. They also have branded PC units powered by Acer Predator for those who want to edit their photos or videos, he said.
Redulfin said e-sports or electronic sports has been one of the fastest growing industries in the Philippines for the past few years. Before the pandemic they had 160 branches nationwide, however, this was trimmed down to 45 branches, mostly based within university belts.
He added that minors are allowed inside the cyber cafe only to use their study hub.
Other owners of TNC Cyber Cafe are Glen Philip Ong and Marc Angelo Villanueva.
TNC Cyber Cafe La Salle is open from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m., from Mondays to Sundays.*
