The Negros Occidental Garden Club (NOGC) reaffirmed its commitment to community care by serving nutritious meals recently to 200 residents of Purok Cubay, Barangay Villamonte.
Children and adults enjoyed a wholesome spread of arroz caldo with chicken and egg, bread, fruit juice and fresh ponkans — prepared to provide both comfort and essential nutrition.
The activity was led by Club President Nonoy Napao and organized by the NOGC Board and Feeding Committee chaired by Cena Nebit, with members volunteering time and resources. Strong community support also made the program possible: Purok President Janette Omano and her team assisted in preparations, Pastor Ronan Millendrez opened the local chapel as the venue and Barangay Captain Rommel Flores extended vital backing. Residents further pitched in to ensure smooth distribution.
Adding more joy to the event, three boxes of clothing were donated by Negros Tsinoys Kaisa, Inc., through NOGC member Lily Go. The clothing giveaways delighted residents, who happily selected pieces to bring home for their families. The club and community extended their heartfelt thanks to Negros Tsinoys Kaisa, Inc. for the thoughtful contribution.
For NOGC, feeding programs are more than meals — they are an expression of solidarity and compassion. The club remains steadfast in its mission to bring nourishment, hope and support to families across Negros Occidental.*
