The Avon Independent Managers Multi-Purpose Cooperatives (AIMMPC) Social Development Group recently turned over vegetable seeds to the Negros Occidental Garden Club (NOGC) at a ceremony at Quan La Salle, Bacolod City.
The donated seeds will be used by NOGC in upcoming vegetable seed dispersal activities across schools and public institutions, supporting efforts to sustain the nutritional needs of the community.
By encouraging the establishment of vegetable gardens, the initiative aims to promote health and well-being, foster self-sufficiency and cultivate a culture of healthy eating among families and institutions.
“These little seeds are going to do big things for our community,” said Rebecca Zepeda, NOGC secretary. “From fresh, homegrown vegetables on the table to more colorful gardens across the city and province, this partnership helps us grow healthier, happier and greener together.”
Representing NOGC were officers Ernesto Nebit (1st Vice President), Rebecca Zepeda (Secretary), and Azucena Nebit (2nd Assistant Treasurer), who accepted the donation on behalf of Club President Nonoy Napao. From AIMMPC, the delegation was led by Chairperson Josie Perillo de Luna, joined by Vice President Gemma Aguba, Secretary Ginena Yu, and Directors Jocelyn Santos, Joincelyn Pescasio, RC De Los Reyes and Lourdes Mercado.*
