The Negros Occidental Garden Club, led by its president Lope “Nonoy” Napao, has started soil preparation for a landmark landscaping project at the facade of Yulo’s Park & Heritage House, Bacolod City – formerly the beach house of Don Mariano Yulo, a distinguished former governor of Negros Occidental.
The initiative, carried out by the club’s officers, board of directors and members, reflects the organization’s commitment to civic beautification, historic preservation and the enhancement of public spaces across the province. The project aims to revitalize the grounds of this storied property, declared a National Historical Landmark by the National Museum on September 28, 2017.
Yulo’s Park & Heritage House stands as a testament to Don Mariano Yulo’s legacy and his contributions to the development of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental. Through thoughtful landscaping and community collaboration, the Garden Club seeks to honor this heritage while creating a welcoming and verdant space for future generations.
