More than 28,000 families in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, received Christmas gift packs on December 20, in line with the city government’s “Alay Pamasko”, an annual sharing of love, joy, and hope program.

Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez led the distribution of gift packs, assisted by program implementers, facilitators, and volunteers.

The Alay sa Pamasko was started by the Benitez administration last year, where thousands of Victoriahanon families also availed of Christmas gift packs.

Meanwhile on Dec. 15, more than 500 members of various sectoral groups in Victorias City received grocery packs from the Nikki Cares Foundation Inc. (NCFI) at Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Cultural Arts Center.

Nikki Cares Foundation Inc. is headed by Dominique Lopez Benitez, wife of Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and the mother of the Victorias City mayor.

The Christmas gift-giving activity was in partnership with the Office of the City Mayor.*
