Authorities confirmed yesterday evening that the autopsy on 17-year-old Freya Mae Go, who was found lifeless at the Reclamation Area of Barangay 12, Bacolod City, revealed that she was strangled to death.
The autopsy results stated that she died from asphyxia due to strangulation, and also suggested that Go was possibly sexually assaulted, as semen was discovered on her private parts.
This was confirmed by Bacolod City Police Station 1 Commander PCapt. Francis Depasucat.
However, police are still investigating the motive and the possible culprits behind her death, as they revealed that they now have the possible persons of interest.
On Wednesday, October 22, a tricycle driver discovered the lifeless body of Go at a grassy portion of the Reclamation Area with her hands tightly-tied and without her lower garments.
Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya has offered a P100,000 bounty for those who can give leads to the police for the immediate identification and arrest of the suspect.*
