Two high-value drug targets marked their holiday season in jail as the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) arrested them in a buy-bust operation along with 300 grams of suspected shabu worth P2.04 million.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit, led by Chief PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez Jr., apprehended alias ‘Niño’, 23, and alias ‘Stephen’, 21, at 2:04 p.m. on Monday at Deca Homes Subdivision in Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City.
Benitez said both suspects are grade 12 students and residents of Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City.
They were previously reported in emergency hotline 911 for engaging in illegal drugs in the area of Purok Saturn, Barangay Handumanan.
The two HVIs, who were not listed under Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council, will now face charges for violations of the RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
They are currently detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 10.
