The Bachelor of Fine Arts of La Consolacion College (LCC) Bacolod is showcasing the theses of graduating students at the LCC Auditorium, Bacolod City, from April 23 to May 8.

The exhibit is the student’s presentation of their visual output in the form of film showing, fashion show, or product testing. It is also an opportunity to showcase their works to stakeholders, the target audience, to share creative energy, and contribute to the development of art, design, and culture in the province.

The body of works in this exhibition consists of the Thesis Output by the graduating class of the Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Advertising, Digital Media Arts, Fashion Design, and Studio Arts.

BFA ADVERTISING

The thesis output of the Advertising majors consists of promotional proposals to local government units and cultural organizations and their socio-economic initiatives. The focus on LGUs and cultural organizations aims to emphasize the significance of designers and artists in their local communities, cities, towns, and festivals, as well as cultural organizations.

BFA FASHION DESIGN

The works of the BFA Fashion Design majors consist of fashion collections designed for specific end-users and will be presented through a fashion show. The collections were made of materials carefully chosen through analysis of characters and qualities, end-users’ preferences, and production processes. The design of these fashion collections is rooted in various inspirations.

BFA STUDIO ART

Students majoring in Studio Art were required to create a body of works (a series) or a big piece of work reflective of skills and expertise, and Filipino core values. The body of works presented in this exhibition was generated through thorough research on the theme, form, materials, and process. The interdependence of these elements implies that although design studies are done to ensure the realization of the artwork, the creative exploration is also research in itself.

The artist-researchers majoring in Digital Media Arts are the most contemporary in terms of media and form…. The works featured in the exhibition include animated film, game design concepts, digital illustrations and comic books – both digital and prints.*
