The Diocese of Bacolod will hold a Grand Rosary Rally on Saturday afternoon, October 11, to pray for “just, honest, and transparent leadership and governance.”
The event will bring together clergy and lay faithful from across the city in a collective prayer procession culminating at the San Sebastian Cathedral.
In an announcement from the Diocesan Commission on Social Communications, the event also marks the feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, the diocese’s second patroness.
The simultaneous prayer rallies will commence at 1:30 p.m. from three locations, the Queen of Peace Parish-Redemptionist, Sto. Niño Shrine-BB Galo, and Sacred Heart Seminary and Shrine.
“God himself is angry with injustice, especially when the poor are the ones victimized. There is this demand for accountability, for restoration, or justice, and hopefully this sparks change in our country, in our political life, in our social life, in our culture,” said Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon.
He stated that genuine reform must begin with personal conversion, describing the activity as a “pilgrimage of hope” and a prayer for the grace of conversion.
The processions from the three points will converge at the San Sebastian Cathedral, where a main program and a Eucharistic Celebration will be held, to be led by Bishop Buzon.*
