A senior citizen and his 19-year-old grandson died of electrocution at Hacienda Carugiat in Barangay 13, Victorias City, Negros Occidental on Thursday.
Initial police investigation indicated that a live wire fell on a ‘carabao metal sheet,’ and when the 19-year-old victim touched it, he was electrocuted and collapsed on the ground.
His 60-year-old grandfather tried to pull him out but he was also electrocuted, according to the police.
The electrocution victims were immediately brought by their neighbors to the Victorias City Emergency Clinic, where they were both declared dead on arrival at the medical facility, the police further said.*
