The Art Environment Group of Visual Artists launched a group art exhibition at Tippy’s Bistro, 10th Street, Bacolod City on May 20 that will run until June 20.
Featured artists are Marcelo “Jecky” Alano, Robert De Arro, Mel Araneta, Kelly Zonio, Rusty Quiatchon, Michael Sernal, Norman Vincent Acedera, Zaldy Zendon, John Ernie Acedera, Boy Fernandez, Jeck Alano, Sabo Guilaran, Christopher Fernandez, Leo Carton, Tina de Jose, Konica Faustino, Luis Rabut IV, Ritchie Baylon, Ronnie Granja, Ningnong Acedera, and Ritchie Arvin Cuesta.
Jeck Alano said that each one of us had been given individual talents. So they came up with a group art exhibit titled “Bugay” to showcase the different styles of the exhibiting artists coming from different art groups in the province, including the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros.

Terence Dacles, co-owner of Tippy’s Bistro, said the show was originally planned before the pandemic and he is glad that it finally pushed through, featuring new talents from Negros. It is aptly titled “Bugay” which in vernacular means talent or gift.
Dacles said Tippy’s Bistro supports local artists from music, visual arts, theater, etc., by offering Maya’s Artspace, especially for the young artists in the province.*
