Bulacan visual artist and musician Joey Milano Blaco was the guest of honor at the opening of the Grand Day group art exhibit at Robinsons Place Bacolod on Saturday, in celebration of Grandparents Day.
The show will run until September 27.
Blanco pursued his dreams to become a full-time artist by joining numerous exhibitions locally and abroad. The pandemic led him to pursue this passion.
He gradually discovered his own style, which he called “Mosaic Sculpture Painting” (MoSculP), a mixed media combination of scrap/junk materials such as styrofoam, eggshells, cardboard and plastic, which developed to help reduce and mitigate global warming and climate change in his own little way, being a lover of nature.
A sample of his work titled “Golden Ruins”, which he was able to paint in just one day, is one of the artworks featured in the exhibit.
Other exhibiting artists are Annalyn Trespicio, Bobbie Guanzon, Cyrene Cuenca, Eliz Caitlin Vise, February Cheryl, GilJohn Quiamco, Jerrylyn Mangao, Kristine and Ramon Caesar Alonso, Mari Zayco, Marlon Domino, Patty Ong, Rena Muzones, Roanna Ruperto, Ronan Delos Santos, Sherwynn Cadianza, Sheila Gela, Steve Maquiling; Antony, Sugar, Zaeveone, and Zhyenaiah Tonogbanua; Ziarene Marie Tambamillo, Trecia Vallejera, Wen Quilisadio, and Chrysee Samillano.*
