The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Bacolod Office is urging old-age and survivorship pensioners, who were unable to comply with the personal appearance requirement or Annual Pensioners’ Information Revalidation (APIR) before March 2020, to do it online.

The online services for personal appearance requirement is the pension fund’s efforts to protect and assist pensioners amid the health emergency situation, and for the safety of elderly pensioners, a press release from GSIS Bacolod said.

Under normal situations, GSIS requires all old-age and survivorship pensioners to report to the nearest GSIS office or kiosk during their birth month to ensure continued receipt of their pension.

APIR is a monitoring mechanism to prevent pension overpayment to deceased pensioners.

To comply with the online APIR, pensioners must send a letter via email requesting the GSIS to activate their status and send it to gsisbacolod@gsis.gov.ph, the press release said.

The letter must indicate the date of request and contain their personal details such as complete name, complete address, contact number mobile or landline, and signature, the press release added.*
