The Regional Civil Security Unit–Negros Island Region (RCSU-NIR) is appealing to gun owners and applicants in Bacolod City and across Negros Occidental to register and regularize their firearms during a three-day License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and Firearms Registration Caravan.
Operating as a comprehensive one-stop shop, it will offer services including the LTOPF, neuro-psychiatric examinations, drug testing, firearms registration/renewal, police clearance, gun safety seminar, and notary public directly at the caravan that will run from Wednesday to Friday, at the Bacolod City Government Center lobby.
RCSU Assistant Chief Freddie Cayot encouraged the public to take advantage of the decentralized services to ensure strict compliance with government firearm regulations in a faster and more convenient manner.
He also advised applicants to bring their complete documentary requirements to ensure a smooth, first-come, first-served transaction process.
Civilian applicants for new LTOPFs must present a birth certificate or passport, proof of billing, a National Police Clearance, and their test results.
Active PNP personnel are exempt from the gun safety seminar, neuro exam, and drug testing upon presenting a valid PNP ID.*
