Guns with ammunition and a fragmentation grenade were recovered by the police in the cities of Victorias and Talisay, Negros Occidental, that also led to the arrest of a suspect on May 26, police said.

The implementation of a search warrant issued by Silay Regional Trial Court Judge Leonardo Facultad Jr. on Thursday at Hacienda Salome 2 in Brgy. 10, Victorias City, led to the recovery of a caliber .45 pistol with two magazines containing five ammunition, an air rifle with a scope and live ammunition of a .38 caliber revolver.

The police raiding team composed of policemen under the command of PLt. Col. Joseph Fajardo Jr. also arrested Allen Pamposa, of the place.

The police recovered a fragmentation grenade at Crossing Sitio Minuluan in Brgy. Matab-ang, Talisay City, which was reported to them by Johnny Amit, a 54-year-old farmer resident of Hacienda Paet Dako in the barangay.

On the other hand, the arrest of a drug suspect identified by the police as Anthony Gemiano during a buy-bust operation at Purok Riverside in Brgy. Suay, Himamaylan City, led to the recovery of about 2.5 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P15,900, assorted shabu paraphernalia, and a caliber .45 pistol with a magazine containing two live ammunition.*
