The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) successfully served two search warrants that resulted in the seizure of multiple firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, and a hand grenade.
The first operation took place on March 13 in Purok Tilapia, Barangay 3, with the arrest of 41-year-old alias Lomar, after a search of his residence yielded a .45 caliber pistol, a hand grenade, and 15 grams of suspected shabu.
The suspect, who was reported by neighbors for frequently carrying a firearm, is considered a suspect in a series of shooting incidents within the Police Station 2 jurisdiction.
‘Lomar’ remains in custody and faces multiple charges, including illegal possession of firearms, explosives, and dangerous drugs.
Meanwhile, Police Station 7, implemented a separate search warrant in Barangay Vista Alegre on Saturday, March 14, that resulted in the recovery of a 1911 Colt caliber .45 pistol, a Black Widow .22 Magnum revolver, several rounds of live ammunition, and approximately 30 grams of suspected shabu.
The subject of the warrant had been under police surveillance for some time, following complaints regarding threats and previous involvement in local gun violence.
The 25-year-old suspect, identified as alias Toto, however, remains at large after escaping through a hole in his bathroom wall during a police visit at his residence in Barangay Vista Alegre.
According to reports, the suspect managed to flee while officers spent over 20 minutes calling for him to surrender outside the home.
Investigators identified the suspect as a person of interest in a December 2025 shooting, and noted his history of illegally discharging firearms in the neighborhood.*
