Guns and P.4M worth of suspected shabu were seized by the police in separate raid and buy bust operations on Monday in Negros Occidental.
A joint operation of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Negros Occidental Provincial Field Unit and local police raided the residence of Jessie Teñoso at Sitio Mercedes in Brgy. Sag-ang, La Castellana, by virtue of a search warrant issued by La Carlota Regional Trial Court Judge Cyclamen Jison Fernandez.
The raid led to the seizure of two caliber .38 revolvers without serial numbers and a cylinder of the same firearm.
Teñoso, who was also arrested by the CIDG and La Castellana police, along with the confiscated guns, were brought to CIDG Provincial Field Unit headquarters at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.
A buy bust operation on April 3 at Hda. Nordson in Brgy. 14, Victorias City, also led to the arrest of a drug suspect identified by the police as Rolin de Arroz, and the confiscation of an estimated 70 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P476,000.
Policemen of Victorias City also recovered assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia, P1,000 in marked money, and a black Toyota Vios sedan vehicle.*
