Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has designated a principal from the Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology (NONESCOST) in Cadiz City as officer-in-charge of the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Care Program Division, a Capitol official said yesterday.

Nurse II Amalia Billote was appointed to the post following transfer of Ma. Mina Pellejo, NOCHP OIC, to the Economic Enterprise Development Department. Two other members of the NOCHP have also been transferred, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said.

Diaz said 10 other staff members from the Province of Negros Occidental – NONESCOST College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences in Cadiz City that has ceased operations have also been reassigned to the NOCHP.

They are Andrea Marie Boherom, who has been designated NOCHP administrative officer, RegaladoAguhayon, Gideon Casas, Glenn Dolendo, ArnellaBancaya, Myrna Angela Victoria Castro, and Mary Grace Parcon, who have been designated NOCHP program coordinators, and GeneldaBersales, Jo Ann Ello, and FelmarMontaño.

This will bring the NOCHP staff number to 39.

Pellejo, meanwhile, said the show cause order issued against her that triggered her 60-day suspension does not reflect upon herself any violation of any existing laws, rules or procedures.

“I strive to serve the public in a manner that makes their welfare the paramount consideration. This is the standard that I have been observing for the last 20 years as an employee of the province of Negros Occidental where I rose from the ranks as project development assistant in 2000 to assistant provincial administrator in 2017 through four changes of administration,” she said.*
