Hawaiian slack key guitarist Patrick Landeza returns to Bacolod City after 30 years for a fund-raising concert for the benefit of The Negros Museum (TNM).

The concert dubbed “Patrick Landeza Philippine Tour 2026 – An Evening of Hawaiian Music,” was organized by the Negros Occidental Cultural Foundation Inc. for the benefit of TNM.

Inspired by an early visit to Bacolod three decades ago, this tour marks a meaningful return – one that brings together memory, heritage, and music.

Travelling across Laoag, Manila, Dumaguete, and Bacolod, this Philippine tour is both personal and artistic. Along the way, it reconnects family ties, deepens ancestral roots, and shares with audiences the rich tradition and storytelling spirit of kī hō alu, the beloved Hawaiian slack guitar.

Landeza is not only a musician but also an author, educator, and producer. His work has helped bring the sound and soul of Hawaiian music to audiences around the world, earning him two Na Hōkū Hanohano Awards, Hawaii’s equivalent to the Grammy.

The event was also an opportunity for him to quietly give back, supporting local organizations and community efforts in the places he visits.*
